Mayor James and Mayor Holland host follow-up community meeting for the bi-state mental health dialogue

March 28, 2014 - KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI
Community meeting builds on the Creating Community Solutions KC event held in September focusing on understanding and awareness for mental health. Community members will have the opportunity to provide input into shaping an action plan and next steps for implementing strategies.

Tomorrow, Mayor James and Mayor Holland will join with Consensus, a local nonprofit dedicated to weaving together public policy and community input, to follow up on a meeting held last September.  Saturday’s agenda items will include developing an action plan and identifying resources to help our community improve outcomes related to mental health issues. The CCS-KC planning team, appointed by the Mayors, is part of the national dialogue launched by President Obama in June.
